Periodontitis (gum disease) is a common human affliction, affecting one third of all adults, and over half of the population over the age of 50.
Symptoms
Gingivitis symptoms can include: swollen gums, redness of the gums, tenderness when the gums are touched, tenderness when chewing, pus around the teeth, or a bad taste in the mouth.
