Starting a business is not an easy task. You need to do many things form planning and research to fund collections for any business venture.

All foreign nationals with business visa (B-1) can start a business in the US. But with that US visa, you cannot start a business straightaway. You may have to apply for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD). After you get EAD, then you need to get a business permit from the state government or the local authorities.

Then you need do planning on the business you want to do. After chalking out little plan in mind, you should do some research on the business you want to do. You should know what the future of the products or services you want to deal with, who are the major players in the business, whether their businesses are in good position and can you compete in the market and so many things.

If you see there is better prospect and you think you are confident then you should proceed and the next step is generation of fund for the business. You have to plan how you can get the fund, whether by loan or from personal sources. If you are taking loans, you should do research on the loans, who are the financers and what is the interest rate and other terms and conditions. If you are satisfied that if you take loan from that person, then you should apply.

Then planning for the day-to-day operation is required. You have to take property on lease or rent etc. About licenses and permits for operating the business, you can contact officials or you can also get the information from the official website. For workers’ compensations, wages, the local state government can be contacted. You should also consider business insurance.
