A school or college re-unions are whole lot of fun, excitement, thrill, and amusement and definitely with a pinch of nostalgia of the bygone days. The re-union parties take you back to those alma mater days of entertainment, fun and unforgettable friendship.

Re-unions can be planned anywhere with as many friends you can gather. All that one requires is the urge to find out whats happening with your friends and a right environment to dash some fun into it. The primary requirement though is an efficient alumni association of the institution concerned, who are keen on uniting Batchmates and students in such parties.

A lot of pre planning is required in such cases. Ideally one should begin a year in advance to plan these events. Every one should have their thinking caps on, and brainstorm for some great party ideas. One needs to have a strong and dedicated committee who are willing to dedicate some time out and work for the alumni party. And make all the necessary arrangements.

Usually people tend to scatter in different directions to pursue their respective career after the years of school and college. To re-unite them is definitely a Hercules’s task. Getting in touch with them and inviting them for the party covers a major portion of the event, since all other arrangements depend on the number of participants.

According to the number of attendees the search for a suitable location begins. Search for large and comfortable ballrooms, or auditoriums, or even farmhouses where people can feel at ease. If the alumni party can be arranged in ones own school or college it would create just the right environment for the party.

Now comes in the core of everything, Funding. Unless the attendees of the alumni have confirmed their participation and paid for the party, financial assistance can be taken either from the alumni associations’ fund in the institutes or one can also consider merging with professionals in the field, who organize such re-unions and provide financial aids till the funds creep in gradually.

After pre-event arrangements are in place, one needs to now think of ideas for the D-day itself. A few great ideas for the re-union could be as follows

Consider a weekend out to some resort or a farmhouse out of the city. Where friends can also bring their partners and spouses along. This way one is able to catch up with old buddies and at the same time make new friends too. Or a simple Saturday booze party, or a dance party is also rocks as an ideal re-union party.

Theme parties can also be organized, with exciting ideas like retro- where one is expected to dress in the old fashioned style. Or may be a contemporary style. The more the fun - the party the better is the party. Include some exciting games in the party as well, popular games, which used to be part of the institution or may be canteen life while in college.

Arrange for some good food, with a variety and finally gift each participant with a memento, which they can save for the coming years and acknowledge the effort. So get started now! Reunite with your long lost friends and rewind the time wheel back to those golden days of fun and friendship.
