Phone on the other hand has inflection but no way of knowing what else is going on. He could be speaking to you while cooking and be distracted. In turn you may “interpret” this as disinterest.

My suggestion is for both of you to get webcams. That way you can actually see each other and remember all the things that you find appealing. It will also force you to dress up a bit, which will put you in a more seductive mood.
